RJ Models produced this 1:300 architectural model to represent the monumental scale, symmetry and Islamic architectural character of the Grand Mosque.

The model includes the building’s domes, four prominent minarets, surrounding arcades and external landscape areas. Lighting was integrated into the arcade areas to strengthen the visual presentation of the architecture and surrounding reflecting pools.

A project of this type requires careful control of proportion and repetition. The Jewel Hotel model was created at 1:250 scale with particular attention to its ornamental architectural language.

RJ Models produced this 1:150 stadium model for a major sports development associated with Mubadala.

One of the most technically demanding parts of the project was the stadium roof. 3D printing was used to reproduce the complex roof geometry, while the roof was designed to move so that viewers could see the internal seating bowl and playing field.

The model also includes spectator seating, the playing field, lighting effects, surrounding landscaping and road traffic.

Stadium models often require a different balance of detail from conventional building models. The roof structure, bowl geometry, seating arrangement and internal visibility are usually central to the design, so the model must explain both the external architecture and the organisation of the interior.

For large sports and entertainment developments in Abu Dhabi, removable or movable components can be considered when they help viewers understand otherwise hidden areas of the design.
