Sheikh Zayed Road is a prestigious and renowned road in Dubai. It runs parallel to the coastline connecting Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the capital city of UAE, in the west.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Zayed Road is the main artery running through the city of Dubai and is also the busiest and most prosperous road.<\/p>\n

It houses landmark skyscrapers such as Burj Khalifa Tower, Emirates Towers and is home to DIFC (Dubai International Financial Center).<\/p>\n

Besides the presence of huge commercial complexes, the road also houses basic facilities that reflect Dubai’s ambition towards globalization and economic diversification.<\/p>\n

So it goes without saying that Dubai’s latest major and most defining commercial development, the AED 5 billion (US$1.36 billion) Emirates Towers Business Park, will also be built on Sheikh Zayed Road.<\/p>\n

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E and Ruler of Dubai said that “Dubai\u2019s major real estate projects aim to enhance the emirate\u2019s development across sectors, and enhance its readiness for the future as part of the comprehensive growth strategy”.<\/p>\n

He also said that “these projects represent the next phase of strategic development of infrastructure that is required for the U.A.E to meet its growth aspirations” and “help the country cement its position as a destination of choice for global investment”.<\/p>\n

In order to present a visual overview of the Emirates Towers Business Park and to visibly explain the future transformation and development in Dubai, the assigned project management company gave RJ Models a co-operation proposal to build a model of the Emirates Towers Business Park.<\/p>\n

The model of Emirates Towers Business Park includes two highlights:<\/p>\n

A Contemporary and Distinctive Shaped Emirates Towers, Symbol of the City of Dubai<\/p>\n

Emirates Towers is a prominent landmark and an iconic symbol of the city of Dubai.<\/p>\n

It is made up of the Emirates Office Tower, standing at 354.6 m and Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, standing at 305 m. The two towers are connected by a 9000 m2 shopping mall.<\/p>\n

The building towers are built on equilateral triangles and are a representation of modern business architecture.<\/p>\n

Yet, behind this contemporary design is the subtle integration of the Islamic culture.<\/p>\n

Before work commenced on the model, RJ Models took into consideration the position and layout of the two towers.<\/p>\n

The selection of quality material was discussed repeatedly, along with the best lighting solution to realistically demonstrate the effect of the desert sun radiating onto the building and the shadow that is cast by it.<\/p>\n

The team members’ hard work finally paid off with the completion of a spectacular and contemporary international icon, The Emirates Towers.<\/p>\n

During the build of this highlight, RJ Models teams continuously surmount the challenges encountered. The entire Business Park model is built to 1:200.<\/p>\n

This ratio generated difficulties during the making of Emirates Tower surroundings.<\/p>\n

To overcome this difficulty, RJ Models illustrator experts used Google Earth to do a site survey of Emirates Towers and its surroundings.<\/p>\n

This allowed them to see the height differences between buildings and their details, to accurately construct a model that retains the proportion of the actual site.<\/p>\n

Dubai’s Futuristic Innovation and Design Hub, Museum of the Future<\/p>\n

The Museum of the Future in Dubai is where tradition subverts to fulfill its motto, “See the Future, and Create the Future”.<\/p>\n

The museum is an incubator for ideas, a driver to innovations and a must go destination for inventors and entrepreneurs from around the world.<\/p>\n

It will also be home to the greatest inventions. The gigantic silver building structure will form an integrated environment where innovations are supported, funded and marketed, advancing Dubai into a city of the future.<\/p>\n

A good model design team, in addition to showing an understanding and respect to the culture of a city, it must also possess the skills to innovate and integrate such understanding.<\/p>\n

The architectural designers<\/a> working on Museum of the Future model accurately produced the Arabic script that perforated the facade while keeping to the contemporary style of the architecture with a concise and stylish formation.<\/p>\n

The completed model possessed the appearance of quality silk embroidery and the effect of lightnings from within the silver structure, presented a museum model<\/a> that is stylish and yet firmly rooted in the culture of the city.<\/p>\n

And due to the limited availability of drawings, the model designers had only the outline of the surrounding buildings to work with.<\/p>\n

Hence, in order to fulfill the integrity of the model, the designers researched and used pictures of those buildings on the internet to copy and recreate the details of the buildings using 3D printing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is not uncommon to combine the use of manual work and instruments when constructing an architectural model<\/a> but to achieve such high level of accuracy, only goes to show the exceptional professionalism and expertise of RJ Models designers.<\/p>\n

Due to the urgency of this project, the team that is made up of more than 40 members, worked through 2 days 2 nights to achieve a 3-day dateline.<\/p>\n

They finally delivered the model of Emirates Towers Business Park on time to Dubai to be fitted, fulfilling the client’s expectations.<\/p>\n

The complexities met during the construction of this 4000 mm by 3200 mm model were repeatedly overcome with the perfect solution.<\/p>\n

All these were possible owing to the professionalism and experience of architectural model making<\/a> team, coupled with the company’s access to quality material, excellent human resource and high-tech equipment.<\/p>\n
