We were responsible for creating a 3D printed architectural model of the New National Stadium in Tokyo. Zaha Hadid designed the Tokyo New National Stadium in her unique futuristic style. The new Tokyo Stadium resembles a baseball cap, in a defined streamlined design.<\/p>\n<p>The outer skeletal shell of steel beams made up the roof and resembled a futuristic spacecraft. To enhance the accuracy of component generation, RJ Models&#8217; designers first reviewed the 3D stadium model drawing. Designed by Reiser + Umemoto, the multi-functional terminal seamlessly integrates of a port terminal, office building, and public facilities. In general, it was expected to maintain\u00a0the continued economic viability of the port terminal.\u00a0Additionally, it aimed to sustain and expand the regular maritime operations of the cruise terminal and ferries.<\/p>\n<p>Structurally, the terminal has a curvilinear building shape and clear patterned skin, which artfully reinterprets of the desert&#8217;s reflective phenomena. Also known as &#8216;the Spring Bamboo&#8217;, It is the 3rd tallest building in Shenzhen. This 3D printed office building model is a conceptual replica of this building structure. RJ&#8217;s experts in 3D printed architectural model making combine 3D printing with traditional craftsmanship.\u00a0This approach not only saves time but also helps with cost savings when creating the oblique grid building fabric for the office building model.<\/p>\n<p>The RJ 3D printed architectural model making team had to ensure that each piece was assembled accurately. Additionally, the team took patience to carefully seal every seam. Despite the intricate process, we managed to complete the final office building model in just 20 days.
